Background Information:
The K-State Flying Club is currently gauging local interest in the possibility of adding a Light Sport Aircraft to the fleet, either through some sort of lease-back arrangement or outright ownership. In order to make this a financially viable option, the club would have to gain approximately 13 to 15 new members that intend on flying that aircraft.
Currently, club officers are considering the RANS S-19LS, which is a production aircraft that is manufactured in Hays, Kansas. While the new S-19’s are equipped with a glass panel, we are currently looking at an earlier model with “steam” gauges.
This survey is open to anybody that is interested in flying a Light Sport aircraft, whether you have previously been a member or not. If you do not have any pilot experience but you are interested in getting your LSA certificate please feel free to complete the survey.
Please keep in mind that such aircraft will be hangared at Manhattan Regional Airport.
We feel like this would present quite an opportunity to many area pilots who are not able to maintain a 3rd class medical but would still like to fly.
Please also tell your friends and other interested parties about this survey.
